ILLAWARRA'S FASTEST GROWING CHARITY In the two years of operation, House of Hope Foodbarn has become the largest distributor of charity food in the Illawarra with over 12,000 people registered for assistance with our specialist orecialist organisation. We have now also become a provider of food to other charities.  CRITERIA FOR ASSISTANCE The Food Barn service is available to people in receipt of centrelink benefits, low-income earners and people who are in severe financial hardship. Clients are required to register and produce ID prior to obtaining food. People who use the service have to show they are in need, then we ask them for a donation of $30 for between $80 and $150 worth of groceries, as the majority of the food is purchased.
